Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Crewo AI Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us"), which operates APIserver.in. They apply when you use the website, the sandbox, the dashboard or the API (together, the "Service").

If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf. In that case, "you" means the company.

APIserver.in provides programmatic access to business-verification information, such as GST registration and returns data, PAN validation, company and LLP records, director details and the links between them. The data comes from government registries and licensed data providers.

The sandbox and playground return fictional sample data for testing only. Live mode returns data from the sources described in our docs.

• You must give accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your API keys secret. Anyone with your key can make calls that are charged to your wallet. Rotate a key straight away if you think it has been exposed.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and keys until you revoke them.

Prices are listed per successful call on our pricing page. They are in Indian rupees and include GST. The price shown is the price charged.

The Service is prepaid. You add money to your wallet (the minimum top-up is shown in the dashboard), and each successful live call is deducted from the balance. We issue a GST tax invoice for every top-up.

Failed calls are not charged. If a request fails validation, times out, or every data source is unavailable, nothing is deducted. For Business360, only the modules that succeed are charged, and the total for one call never exceeds the listed bundle price.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email and on the pricing page. Calls are always charged at the price in force when they are made.

You may use the Service only for lawful verification purposes, such as onboarding customers, vendors or partners, credit and compliance checks, and fraud prevention. You must not:

• verify a person or business without a lawful basis, or use the results to harass, profile or discriminate against anyone;
• resell, redistribute or build a competing database from the data, except to show results to your own users as part of your product;
• try to get around rate limits, access controls or billing, or interfere with the Service;
• use the Service in breach of any law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Our acceptable use policy gives more detail. We may suspend keys that break these rules.

When you send personal data (for example a PAN or a director's name) in an API request, you decide why and how it is processed. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and for giving any notices the law requires. We process that data only to provide the Service to you, as described in our privacy policy.

Results reflect what the underlying sources returned at the time of the call. Each response includes a data_as_of timestamp where it is available. Government records can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and we do not guarantee that any result is accurate or complete.

Verification results, risk flags and AI-generated summaries support your decisions; they are not legal, credit, tax or investment advice. You remain responsible for your onboarding and credit decisions.

We route calls across more than one source and retry automatically, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. Calls that fail because a source is down are not charged.

We own the Service, the website, the documentation and the software. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them while your account is active and within these terms. You own your own content and the results you lawfully receive for your use.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the Service at risk, or where the law requires us to. Where we can, we will tell you why first.

Unused wallet balance on closure is handled as described in our refund policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts with jurisdiction over our registered office have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 15 days' notice by email or in the dashboard. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
